In 2004, on a bright day at the University of Australia, Mir Khedri envisioned an IT company that would breathe life into innovative ideas. The birth of Soltia was marked by a creative fusion of "solution" and the resonance of the well-known brand Nokia.
Determined to secure soltia.com, Mir and his classmate faced a slight mishap when noticing that the domain was already taken. Undeterred, they reached out to the owner with an earnest plea, highlighting their student status. Imagine their surprise when the owner agreed to release it for a symbolic 100 USD, defying the initial hefty price tag of 10,000 USD.
With the domain secured, the next quest was a distinctive logo. After speaking with the professor of multimedia, they got the idea of making a competition on campus, which ended up generating over 60 designs. Through a voting process, a winner was crowned and received a prize.
In 2012, Mir Khedri returned to Sweden and registered Soltia AB. Our journey of resilience and community building began with three employees and grew into the thriving Aqilea family we are today. As competence and services expand, both in Sweden and globally, our eyes remain fixed on the stars, ready for an extraordinary voyage with exceptional people!
